  • Responsibilities

    GENERAL PURPOSE: Works directly with the Installation and Door Sales Team. Prospects and solicits new business for both the commercial and residential sides of the organization, as business need dictates. Interacts with customers on a daily basis providing them information and recommendations about new garage doors, operators and options available. Ensures that the daily office operations function smoothly and that the highest quality customer service is delivered. Will be responsible for policies, procedures, reporting, procedures including the daily collection and processing of company financial data. Responsible for meeting company sales goals and financial objectives.     • Working with manufacturers, keeping up to date on all products and/or issues. Deliveries, drawings, manifest, etc.* Inventory control - ordering and maintaining proper levels. Answering inbound phone calls and scheduling appointmentsmanage incoming paperwork, create invoices and assist office staff with bookkeeping and filing*managing social media and soliciting customer reviews

    • Serves as a point of contact for customers during the sales process regarding questions related to residential garage doors, openers and service

    Follows up with customers as necessary to ensure work is completed to the customers satisfaction (reviews), manages and resolves customer concerns/complaintsPromotes the company and develops new lines of business with contractors, condominiums, home owners associations, realtors, and insurance representatives. Uses memberships with local building associations to bring in new businessStay informed of new products on the market and understand the features and benefits of the product the company carries as compared to the competitionAssist the door installation team if problems or concerns arise at the time of installation

    Works with Senior Management to set sales goals and ensure that those goals are metEstablishes pricing that supports target marginsKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS and ABILITIES

    Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer service to include assessing customer needs, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluating customer satisfaction

    Skill in using Microsoft Office products (Word, Outlook, and Excel) preferred

    Skill in using mathematics to solve problems

    Skill in providing excellent customer service

    Ability to give full attention to what other people are saying, take time to understand the points being made, ask questions as appropriate, and not interrupt at inappropriate times

    Ability to quickly and easily establish rapport with someone over the phone

    · responsiveness to management initiatives and plans for improvement

    PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

    Depending on functional area of assignment, tasks involve the ability to exert light physical effort in sedentary to light work, which may involve some lifting, carrying, pushing and/or pulling of objects and materials of light weight (up to 20 pounds). Tasks may involve extended periods of time sitting at a workstation and utilizing a keyboard.

    ENVIRONMENTAL REQUIREMENTS:

    Tasks are regularly performed inside without potential for exposure to adverse conditions, such as dirt, dust, pollen, odors, fumes and/or poor ventilation, wetness, humidity, rain, temperature and noise extremes, machinery and/or moving vehicles, vibrations, electric currents, animals/wildlife, toxic/poisonous agents, gases or chemicals, oils and other cutting fluids, violence and/or disease, or pathogenic substances.

    SENSORY REQUIREMENTS:

    Some tasks require manual dexterity, in addition to visual and hearing acuity. Tasks require oral communications ability.

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: High school diploma or GED; supplemented by FIVE (5) or more years’ proven sales experience estimating, bidding, and closing deals directly with customers (Business to Customer experience)
