Konik is partnering with a local commercial flooring company seeking an Account Manager for their growing team.  This role is ideal for a relationship-driven project professional who enjoys owning both client satisfaction and project performance. As an Account Manager, you’ll serve as the main point of contact for general contractors, developers, and architects while managing commercial flooring or interior buildout projects from award through closeout. You’ll collaborate closely with Estimating, Operations, and Field teams to ensure projects run smoothly, on time, on budget, and to spec.

    Account Manager Responsibilities:

    • Review bid scopes with Estimating and manage smooth handoffs post-award.
    • Coordinate submittals, material procurement, scheduling, and install sequencing alongside Field Management.
    • Track budgets, margins, and timelines—issuing and managing change orders as needed.
    • Verify project closeout deliverables are accurate and complete.
    • Act as the trusted partner for assigned accounts, ensuring clear communication and accountability from project kickoff to completion.
    • Strengthen long-term partnerships that lead to repeat business.
    • Lead meetings, site visits, and project closeout conversations with professionalism and confidence.

    Account Manager Qualifications:

    • 3–5+ years of experience in commercial flooring, construction management, or a related trade.
    • Strong understanding of plans, specs, submittals, RFIs, and change order processes.
    • Excellent communication and organizational skills with the ability to juggle multiple projects at once.
    • Tech proficiency in Microsoft Office, Bluebeam, and construction/project software (FCS, Measure, or similar).

    Benefits:

    • Base salary plus commission/bonus tied to project profitability.
    • Vehicle allowance and phone reimbursement.
    • Full benefits package (health, dental, retirement).
    • Real opportunities for growth into senior account or leadership roles.
    • Hybrid office schedule after training
