Job Description:

This 13-week assignment is with a state prison in Newport, VT. It holds up to 433 medium security male prisoners and is the largest prison in Vermont.

Schedule: Full time night position working 6:00am-6:30pm.

The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) plays a vital role in patient care by contributing to the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Working under the supervision of RN(s), the LPN provides direction and guidance in patient education and activities that align with their education and demonstrated competencies.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.

• Prefer a minimum of one (1) year clinical experience

Licenses/Certifications

• Current licensure as an LPN in the state of VT.
• CPR certification.
