Schedule: Full Time; will consider 4 x 10-hour shifts or 5 x 8 hours shifts

Job Requirements:

1\. MS degree in Nursing AND Minimum of three years of current clinical nursing experience and two years' experience in adult practice required

2\. Completion of an accredited educational program for nurse practitioners or physician assistants required.

3\. Current license to practice as a registered nurse in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts with authorization by the Board of Registration in Nursing to practice in an expanded role.

4\. Registered with the ANCC or other accrediting organization for Nurse Practitioners.

5\. Registered with the State of Massachusetts and DEA for prescription writing privileges.

6\. Current BLS and ACLS Certification

7/ Prior experience in Occupational Health preferred.

POSITION SUMMARY:

A licensed and credentialed Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) provides diagnosis, treatment, consultation, and follow-up under the direction of one or more physicians in the clinic. The NP provides age and specialty-appropriate medical care at the level of training achieved. The Nurse Practitioner is responsible and accountable for the application of the nursing process, supervision of clinical practice, research involvement, consultative services, inter and intradepartmental liaison, education, leadership, and patient care management across the health care continuum from preventative, acute care through discharge.
