    Job description

    We’re looking for experienced and professional candidates who can independently oversee acute care and skilled nursing staffing needs. As a DON you’ll get to:

    · Finalize the candidate, interview them, and assign them skilled or acute care facility depending upon their skill set.

    · Evaluate candidates’ skills, competencies are in good standing with the need of facility.

    · Coordinate with staffing supplemental nursing director with staffing needs paperwork.

    · Perform management functions such as long-range planning, and resource allocation. Scheduling nursing staff may be required needed. However, assistance will be provided by staff.

    · Provide programmatic direction for all of our current and prospective locations and

    · Coordinate training for all of the medical assistants and nursing staff.

    · Develop plans, policies, and protocols for the patient care , and identify new modalities for providing care

    · As part of the health care team in the staffing healthcare settings, oversee the supervision of certified medical assistants, and Nurses.

    · Set up all necessary paperwork that will aid staffing for nursing.

    · Management role primarily.

    Qualification:

    • Current, active California Registered Nurse License.

    • BSN with 4 years of clinical experience (three of which have had an administrative component); OR MSN with 3 years of clinical experience (two of which have had an administrative component); OR Doctorate in Nursing or equivalent discipline; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience.

    • Knowledge and abilities essential to the successful performance of the duties assigned to the position.

    • Outpatient and primary nursing skills; demonstrated nursing work experience with children and adults.

    • Management experience preferred; demonstrated experience in the supervision and training of RN’s and Nursing support staff.

    • Ability to perform historical, physical, and behavioral status assessments.

    • Ability to work as part of multi-disciplinary team.

    • Working knowledge of child abuse reporting laws.

    • Understanding of the healthcare system and community environment in which organization functions.

    • Understanding of benchmarks and performance at comparable organizations.

    • Excellent project management and organizational skills.

    • Knowledge of Outpatient/skilled nursing/Ambulatory Care regulatory requirements and performance improvement principles.
