Sr. Mortgage Loan Processor Job Description
The Loan Processor will be responsible for all aspects of processing a variety of mortgage loans Conventional and NonQM . The Loan Processor collects, reviews, and analyzes file documentation, updates AUS and submits to underwriting for loan approval. Assists with obtaining all remaining file documentation while providing the highest-level customer service, quality in compliance issues and underwriting submissions.

Obtain and assemble complete loan package in proper order for underwriting. Verify all required documentation by pre-underwriting the file. Complete requirements per the processing loan checklist.
Directly communicates with Loan Originator, customer, and underwriter in writing and/or by telephone to obtain initial and missing documentation required to qualify for the loan, including but not limited to income information, asset information, credit authorization, trust agreements, purchase agreements, etc.
Performs a thorough review of each loan file within one business day to verify the application is complete and accurate. Analyze the file documentation of borrower’s credit, employment, income, collateral, and assets as required by the specific loan program before submitting the file to the underwriter for loan approval.
Calculates income via Tax Returns, W-2's, 1099's, and Bank Statements.
Directly communicates with Loan Originator, customer, and underwriter in writing and/or by telephone to obtain initial and missing documentation required to qualify for the loan, including but not limited to income information, asset information, credit authorization, trust agreements, purchase agreements, etc.
Verifies documentation submitted and identifies any potential issues that may arise in underwriting. Review loans for compliance within RESPA, TIL, HMDA, Reg. B, etc. (all mortgage related regulations). Prepare and/or initial proper disclosures as required by regulations.
Communicate with various companies to obtain Appraisal, Property Survey, Flood Certificate, Title Commitment, and payoff information. Verify vendor orders are complete and invoices received, and all are in the applicant’s loan file. Manage pipeline by reports within allotted turn-around times. Assist set-up of loans. Maintain processing turn times and provide exceptional customer service both internally and externally.
Capable of working in a fast-paced environment, under pressure and meet time-sensitive deadlines, all while maintaining a high level of professionalism.
Ensures data integrity. Coordinates and schedules closing.
Non-QM Experience is a PLUS
Required Skills:
Previous loan processing experience of 5 years
Functional experience with Encompass is a plus
Must have thorough knowledge of Conventional loan programs
Strong oral and written communication skills
Excellent interpersonal skills
Must have excellent problem-solving skills
Ability to meet production, quality, and service standards
Ability to work in a fast-paced, high volume environment

Pay: $35.00 - $50.00 per hour
