Job Description: We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our team on a contract basis. In this role, you will be responsible for the design, analysis, and optimization of mechanical systems and components for renewable energy projects. You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop innovative solutions that enhance the performance and efficiency of our renewable energy systems.

Responsibilities:

• Design and develop mechanical components and systems for renewable energy projects, including wind turbines, solar panels, and energy storage systems.
• Conduct engineering analysis and simulations to evaluate the performance and reliability of mechanical designs.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate mechanical systems with electrical, structural, and control systems.
• Perform feasibility studies and cost-benefit analyses to support decision-making and project planning.
• Generate detailed engineering drawings, specifications, and documentation for manufacturing and construction.
• Provide technical support during the procurement, fabrication, and installation of mechanical components.
• Conduct field inspections and testing to ensure compliance with design specifications and industry standards.
• Participate in design reviews and engineering meetings to identify opportunities for improvement and optimization.
• Stay informed about emerging technologies and best practices in renewable energy and mechanical engineering.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field; advanced degree preferred.
• Previous experience in the renewable energy industry is highly desirable.
• Proficiency in CAD software for 3D modeling and drafting (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD).
• Strong knowledge of mechanical design principles, materials, and manufacturing processes.
• Experience with finite element analysis (FEA) and computational fluid dynamics (CFD) simulations is a plus.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to analyze complex technical challenges.
• Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
• Self-motivated with a proactive approach to project management and task prioritization.
• Authorization to work in the United States.
