    Job Purpose

    The purpose of this role is to support ongoing preclinical and translational research activities by assisting with in vivo experiments, tissue processing, cell culture, and general laboratory operations. The position is designed to offer hands-on experience in a research environment while contributing to the successful execution of scientific studies. This role is ideal for students pursuing a degree in life sciences who are eager to develop technical skills and gain insight into biomedical research.

    Duties and Responsibilities

    • Assisting with in vivo work in mice, including radiotherapy and cell therapy procedures

    • Collecting and processing biological specimens (e.g., tissues)

    • Supporting cell culture work and maintaining optimal growth conditions

    • Helping with molecular biology experiments and cell-based assays

    • Keeping accurate and timely records of protocols and data (e.g., lab notebooks, digital files)

    • Monitoring supplies and preparing central orders

    • Contributing to the planning and execution of experiments

    • Providing general lab support and maintenance (e.g., stock upkeep)

    • Supporting the team with other ad-hoc tasks as needed

    Qualifications

    • Enrolled in or recently graduated from a Bachelor's or Master's program in Biology, Biomedical Sciences, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, or a related life sciences field
    • Completed coursework or laboratory classes in molecular biology, cell biology, or anatomy/physiology
    • A good listener, open to feedback, and respectful of different perspectives
    • A clear and concise communicator, both orally and in writing
    • Detail-oriented, organized, and proactive
    • Curious, motivated, and eager to learn new technical skills
    • Committed to safety and good lab practices
