    Established in 1993, Precon Marine, Inc. is a diversified marine contractor specializing in heavy marine construction, waterfront construction and related services throughout the East Coast area and abroad. With an extensive inventory of equipment and a stable, skilled offshore workforce, Precon Marine is able to take on major bridge, pier, and bulkhead rehabilitation work, subaqueous utility installation as well as provide call-out services for underwater inspections and commercial diving needs.

    Human Resources Administrator/Recruiter

    SUMMARY

    The Administrative Assistant will report to the Director of Human Resources and provide relief of selected administrative duties and special projects as directed for all of the Precon companies.

    PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

    Engage in the recruitment process ensuring compliance with OFCCP guidelines and company objectives. This is one of the core responsibilities of this role so the right person will always portray the companies with a positive image.

    Follow up with all new hires and their supervisor on or before they have been here for 30 days or less ensuring proper fit and behaviors.

    Manage the employee evaluation process. The “annual review” will be another core responsibility that this role will work with the HR Director to ensure that the process is completed in a systematic way but also adds value to both Precon and the employees.

    Completion of all employment verifications, medical support orders, and employee benefits packages and enrollments.

    All other special projects as required by the HR and Safety Directors.

    ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES

    Assist with answering the company switchboard when necessary.

    Coordinate special events as directed by the President or HR Director.

    KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS

    A progressive increase in knowledge of marine contracting and other areas of work that we specialize in.

    Prior knowledge or training in the area of recruitment, employee benefits, compensation and industrial safety would be helpful.

    Impeccable computer and organization skills.

    Strong verbal communicator; must like telephone work.

    WORKING CONDITIONS

    Office work only between the hours of 8am-5pm. Neat attire required.
