Welding Foreman
Must live locally or be relocating to the area Minimum 10 years’ experience in a fabrication shop or Construction required, 3 years in Leadership role. Must be proficient in FCAW and SMAW (7018/6010) welding, which would be the primary focus of subordinates. Candidate must have the strong ability develop, train, and lead subordinates across numerous job sites. Ability to read blueprints on new and repair work, fitting, cutting, proficiency with a cutting torch (Oxy/ace and Plasma), rolling, bending large steel also necessary and use of hand tools, etc. Must have safety a top priority. The right candidate will have past experience in Marine Construction and ship yard work.
This position will be a combination of shop and field Supervisory work depending on the project.
Essential Responsibilities for the Welding Foreman:
Maintain safety and environmental health within the facility.
The Welding Supervisor demonstrates clear leadership and development of subordinate employees.
Fosters continuous improvement and continuous improvement culture.
The Welding Supervisor ensures all equipment is in good/safe operating condition.
Supervise employees by providing training, safe working conditions, necessary tools and equipment to meet customer requirements within budget.
Leading employees in safety, productivity, efficiency, process improvement and quality.
Leading rotating shift schedule and supervise welding and maintenance personnel daily activities.
Achieve manufacturing excellence by establishing and communicating goals, coaching, evaluating performance and developing people.
Provide support and direction for good manufacturing, housekeeping and safety standards.
Provide technical training related to maintenance, process systems and safety standards.
Qualifications:
10 years’ Experience
3 years of Supervisory Experience
Must be able to lead and advise a crew
Must have experience in time keeping and strong computer skills
Must be able to read blueprints
Must have fabricating/Production experience
Must have experience in giving various types of Welding Tests
Must have own tools
Must have own reliable transportation and a clean driving record
