Responsible for performing maintenance and inventory control on surface supplied dive equipment to include diving helmets, umbilical’s, compressors, volume tanks, communication equipment, hot water heaters, recompression chambers, gauges, relief valves and additional diving support equipment in strict compliance with OSHA and the EM-385 standards. Proficient in air sampling procedures, hydrostatic testing procedures and cleaning standards. Maintain company-wide dive logs and track diver qualifications. This is a diving support position that will be primarily located in Chesapeake but may require some travel to complete duties assigned and will report directly to the Diving Operations Manager. Diving will not be the primary function of this position. Must be capable of operating Microsoft Office programs to create and maintain equipment status logs, create diving emergency management plans and additional administrative duties assigned in support of diving operations and dive plan development.
Our Commercial Divers handle everything form Pile jacketing, inspections, and even the occasional Salvage operation. Previous experience in Marine Construction or Commercial Construction, and knowledge of the US Navy Dive Manual, ADCI Manual and Quality Assurance Maintenance programs are a plus! Prerequisites:
5-10 years’ Diving experience required
Commercial/Military Dive Certificate
Additional Certification for the Ideal Candidate:
Diving Supervisor
Current Medical Fitness Exam (Physicians Signature)
Current CPR/First Aid (Adult), and
Current Emergency O2 Certificate and
Recent dive logs
