Precon Marine, Inc is currently seeking a Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join our family.

As a Heavy Equipment Mechanic, you will service equipment to ensure it will continue to operate under proper operating conditions at our job sites. You will be responsible for effectively communicating equipment issues to our lead Mechanic.

Mechanic’s responsibilities:

Servicing repairs of all types of equipment as required to ensure proper working condition; dismantle and reassemble/rebuild equipment; and diagnose complex mechanical equipment problems.

Conduct preventive maintenance to avoid unnecessary repairs and downtime at job sites

Meet all company and equipment related safety requirements

Provide support to other mechanics with maintenance or equipment repairs

Perform safety inspections on equipment

Maintain a clean and safe work environment

As a Shop Mechanic, you will need to troubleshoot equipment problems, including mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic components. If you are safety-conscious with a strong working knowledge of individual equipment design and safety requirements, this could be the position for you!

Requirements:

Ability to effectively and safely use mechanic’s tools and equipment to diagnose and trouble shoot complex equipment problems

Ability to communicate equipment issues and understand job assignments

Ability to prioritize work assignments

Personal and professional integrity

Exhibit a clear understanding of the necessity of equipment safety

Flexibility regarding work assignments

Must be physically able to work in a job site environment for extensive periods to include lifting up to 50lbs, bending, squatting, crouching, reaching

Military training highly preferred

Must have own tools

Must have own transportation
