Job Summary:
As a Preconstruction Coordinator, you will be an integral part of the estimating team at Steadfast. You will:
Participate in initial client meetings and review project plans.
Coordinate and schedule vendor job walks, collect bids, and review them to ensure all required scope is captured.
Assist in bid leveling and creating project budgets for client review.
Present value engineering options for executive team review.
Once a budget is approved, ensure all approved vendor estimates and documentation are transferred to the accounting team to initiate project kickoff and enable accurate cost tracking.
You will ensure the accounting team has all up-to-date documentation to start the budget correctly and track against actual costs throughout the project.
Responsibilities
Participate in estimating and bid preparation.
Coordinate and schedule vendor job walks.
Collect, review, and validate vendor bids.
Perform bid leveling and create accurate budgets for client review.
Ensure budget accuracy and completeness with no gaps.
Transfer approved budgets and vendor estimates to the accounting team for project kickoff and accurate cost tracking.
Qualifications
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Self-motivated and proactive.
Skilled in Excel and comfortable with Google Calendar.
Experience with Procore (Preferred, not required).
Strong math and analytical skills.
Familiarity with reading plans (preferred, but can be taught).
College degree (preferred, but not required).
Construction industry experience or familiarity (preferred, but not required).
