    Preconstruction & Procurement Coordinator

We are seeking an experienced Preconstruction & Procurement Coordinator to support commercial construction projects through estimating, procurement, purchasing, and material logistics.

This position is ideal for someone with an electrical construction, electrical supply, or commercial contracting background who understands construction materials, vendor coordination, and project scheduling.

Growth Opportunity: As our company continues to grow, this role offers the opportunity to expand into increased responsibility within preconstruction, procurement, operations, and supply chain leadership. We are looking for someone who wants to build a long-term career—not just fill a position.

    Responsibilities

Prepare project estimates and material takeoffs.

Source, price, and purchase electrical and construction materials.

Coordinate hundreds of project components to ensure complete and accurate material packages.

Manage purchase orders, vendor communications, and delivery schedules.

Track long-lead equipment and coordinate logistics to support construction timelines.

Work closely with Engineering, Project Management, Field Operations, and Finance to ensure materials are ordered, budgets are maintained, invoices are accurate, and projects remain on schedule.

Monitor procurement costs and identify opportunities for improved purchasing efficiency.

    Qualifications

3+ years of experience in electrical construction, electrical distribution, commercial construction, purchasing, estimating, or project coordination.

Strong knowledge of commercial electrical materials and construction logistics.

Experience reading construction drawings and material schedules preferred.

Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Excel.

Ability to manage multiple projects, vendors, and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

The ideal candidate enjoys solving logistical challenges, coordinating the details that keep projects moving, and ensuring every project has the right materials in the right place at the right time while maintaining cost and schedule objectives.
