This role is accountable for resolving System issues of medium to high complexity. As a member of a customer-focused organization, the Systems\Network Analyst assists Amer Sports’ internal associates, incorporating excellent customer service in conjunction with technical support. As a primary point of contact for our internal customers, the Systems/Network Analyst is expected to triage and resolve a multitude of different primary computer (laptop, desktop hardware, and server administration) and networking needs (switches, routers, network, and server administration), incorporating IT best practices until a resolution is met. The Systems/Network Analyst will also be a mentor to the Desktop Support Analysts on the team You will be responsible for: Systems, Networking and Service Support Support of Microsoft operating systems, including Windows Server 2008 and Windows Server 2012R2. Operation and management of Active Directory, GPOs, DNS, DHCP, MS SQL Server, and NTFS permissions for Windows Files Servers Maintain data center technologies Server Hardware, SANs (Storage Area Networks) and backup systems Scripting and PowerShell development and support Routine account maintenance including password resets Respond to network and/or server related issues as directed by team lead or manager Understand and be able to apply Layer 2 and 3 switching and routing Support WLAN access points and wireless controllers Utilize a Network cable crimp and maintain an understanding of single and multi-mode fiber Work with the global team on supporting Juniper VPN Client, SDWAN, and Amer Sports WAN Meet service level agreements related to change processing and incident resolution Remotely access managed devices via in-band and out-of-band connections Retain ownership of escalated issues and work to resolution Work closely with peers to identify gaps in training and provide feedback for training opportunities Demonstrate excellent communication and client care skills by documenting all activities within our client delivery system and communicate with the client promptly Responsible for daily monitoring of OTRS trouble ticket queue, responding according to IT Service Level Agreement What We're Looking For In order to be successful in this role you will bring: Any equivalent combination of education and experience, which provides the applicant with the knowledge, skills, and abilities required to perform the job, will be considered. 5+ years of work experience in IT or BS degree in Information Systems or a related field. 2+ years experience in a PC network environment 2+ years of hands-on experience with Microsoft operating systems (Windows Server 2008 - 2019) 2+ years experience in VMware or certification 2+ years knowledge of PC networks and LAN/WAN infrastructure 2+ years networking expertise and understanding of the OSI model, including routing principles and networking fundamentals, well-known protocols and services, ARP/NAT, and command-line interfaces Demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite Understanding Service Desk Management Experience with Cisco UCS, Nimble Storage, Cisco Catalyst Switching is a plus but not required Reliable communications and interpersonal skills Ability to work toward corporate objectives Must demonstrate the ability to prioritize and resolve multiple problems Quality of work to include timeliness, completeness, and accuracy Ability to work effectively with, and obtain cooperation from, other employees and outside parties Must gain knowledge of department function so that operations run smoothly even in the manager’s absence Regular and predictable attendance is an essential function of the job WORKING ENVIRONMENT Normal office conditions.
