Preferred Pet Care, Inc. is an all-inclusive, luxury resort for dogs located in Maplewood, NJ with over twenty-five years in business. We offer overnight boarding, doggie daycare, bath/spa services, and a retail area. As our company continues to rapidly grow and expand our services, we are looking for energetic, reliable, and hard-working individuals to care for our dogs during their stay. THIS IS A VERY UNIQUE POSITION for the right person with a valid NJ Driver's License and a clean, no-points driving history. A background check may be in order for insurability purposes. In this position, you are required (for only a few hours each day) to pick-up and/or drop-off our taxi service doggies in our luxury doggie bus! When not driving, your help is needed as a Kennel Assistant in our state-of-the-art facility. We have PT as well as FT positions available for the right candidates. Because we are in the business of caring for doggies, we are open 365 days/year in order to care for our overnight guests. We work indoors and outdoors in all kinds of weather, so you would need to be reliable to report to work whenever needed. Ideally, you should be absolutely flexible to work various hours/days during the week including weekends and some rotating holidays. There is no overnight work. Our hours of operation are Monday thru Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., Saturday and Sunday, 7:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. Experience with dogs or working with dogs is a plus. Being familiar with local, nearby towns or possess a good sense of directions is a bonus!
