Premier Group Recruitment has been hired by one of their top clients to find it's next DEVOPS SPECIALIST. This engineer will help support and develop an emerging cloud infrastructure and also help build frameworks. REQUIREMENTS
- Must be able to obtain and maintain Secret DOD security clearance. Non-US Citizens need not apply. If you are a US citizen and do not have clearance yet, you can obtain after hiring.
- 5-7 years experience minimum required.
- Must have a BA/BS degree in CS or equivalent
- Must be experienced configuring and provisioning cloud native infrastructure
- You must have a proven track record automating cloud solutuons such as Terraform and also with Intrastructure as Code (IaC)
- Must have the ability to rapidly apply Docker to ease the deployment and build
- Be able to use Nimble CI/CD approach to application builds and cloud deployments
- Must have experience analyzing root cause, diagnosing, monitoring, and implementing preventative measure to avoid reoccurences.
- Must have a relentless focus on reproductibility and automation and must be able to accomplish that with increasingly complex tools (Ansible, Python, bash, etc..)
- Must be able to keep security in mind at all times while maintaining and developing infrastructure and tools. Must always be thinking of logs, monitors, and alerts.
- You must love to build new things, but also understand and believe that maintenance is also extremely important at all times.
- Must be able to maintain the daily needs of a larger production environment against implementing iterative technology improvements.
- You must be a team player. You must have excellent communication skills, but be comfortable working alone as well.
- You must have an expertise in the design and automation of software builds and deployments, ideally with a familiarity of Java ecosystem.
- We also want someone who is eager to provide education and technical guidance to team members, coworked, and junior engineers on DevOps best practices.
- You must be experienced using shell scripts and CLI utilities for general Linux and some Windows administration.
- You must have the ability to travel at times, pending COVID19 conditions.
RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE ROLE
- You will identify gabs in design within the existing cloud deployments and implemener/propose solutions
- You will develop and mature CI/CD pipelines
- You will support existing deployments in AWS and Azure and implement more rapid and reliable deployments
- You will provide support for automated deployments
- You with Dockerize applications across the company for build support and deployment
BONUS IF YOU HAVE
- Configured and Deployed Kubernetes
- Experience in a micro-services and IoT environment
- Ability to leverage network technologies to achieve scale and latency requirements
- Created scalable infratructure in multi-account AWS, Azure, and on-premise
- Regularly kept up with advancements in cloud computing tech and apps
- Gradle experience
- Worked with HIPPA, PCI, NIST or othe compliance specs.
- Strong experience with Terrform, Kubernetes, and other Hashicorp tools.
- The ability to design and implement edge available and redundant services.
- A solid understanding of TCP/IP, layer3, layer 7, and DNS load balancing and roating.
