    OVERVIEW

    Premier Martial Arts of Fox Valley (PMA) is on a journey to impact the lives of children and adults in the Fox Valley area. We are looking for a few exceptional team members with a "can-do" attitude and excellent interpersonal skills to join our Promotional Events Team!!

    We have both part-time and "gig work" types of roles.

    As a team member of our Promotional Events team, you should be well-organized and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment and be able to engage with a variety of people coming from backgrounds and age groups and always maintain a friendly, helpful demeanor. Think Disney! Excellent communication and attention to detail are vital in this role and will contribute to successful events resulting in future students in our programs.

    You will work closely with our Promotional Events Coordinator (PEC) and Program Director (PD) to develop, plan, organize, and execute high-quality/engaging community events, workshops, and camps from conception through execution. You will be supporting event preparation and execution, such as event setup, ensuring all members and guests receive white glove service, and evaluating success afterward.

    Examples:

    Children's birthday parties (4 per weekend)

    Parent's Night Out event (usually the 3rd Friday of each month)

    Special workshops and orientation classes (Saturday mornings)

    Local school events and fundraisers

    Martial Arts Demonstrations (Saturday mornings)

    Holiday and seasonal events

    Summer/Winter Camps

    Responsibilities:

    Work with the team to research and identify event opportunities

    Coordinate all event activities and personnel

    Welcoming and directing members and guests

    Ensure that events run smoothly and seamlessly

    Ensure an excellent level of customer service

    Ensures event site stays clean, safe, and organized

    Lead games and provide direction to kids and parents

    Capture lead information and support the follow-up process

    Pack up equipment when the event is completed

    Provide feedback and key insights to help improve our events

    Qualifications:

    MUST love working with kids

    Coachable attitude and willingness to pitch in

    Applicants MUST have reliable transportation to/from events

    Excellent interpersonal skills and charming/fun demeanor

    Previous experience in event planning, hospitality, or child care is a PLUS

    Strong organizational skills are a MUST

    MUST be deadline and detail-oriented

    Ability to work well in teams
