We specialize in designing and constructing playgrounds that inspire creativity, promote physical activity, and foster social interaction for children of all ages. Responsibilities: • Support craft workers (painters, electricians, carpenters, roofers, plasterers), sub-contractors, and other tradesmen as needed • Tear down old structures, and build temporary structures such as signs, cones, barricades, ramps, and other devices to control traffic around the construction site • Carry, load, and unload tools and building materials such as sheetrock, saws, lumber, tile, grout, etc. • Adhere to all directions from the construction manager, and work with other team members to complete construction projects accurately • Operate power tools, hand tools, and heavy equipment such as jackhammers, survey equipment, and forklifts as required • Assist in the preparation of playground sites, including excavation, grading, and drainage • Read and interpret blueprints, plans, and specifications to ensure accurate installation of playground equipment • Safely and efficiently assemble, install, and anchor playground structures, swings, slides, and other components according to manufacturer guidelines • Collaborate with project managers, designers, and other team members to ensure quality and timely completion of projects • Operate construction equipment and tools, such as drills, saws, and compactors, in a safe and effective manner • Conduct regular inspections and maintenance of equipment to ensure safety and functionality • Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including proper disposal of materials and debris Qualifications: • A high school diploma or equivalent is required - Trade certification, associate’s degree, and/or completed apprenticeship program is highly preferred • Able to work in inclement weather like extreme temperatures, rain, etc. • Strong depth perception, good eye-hand coordination, and mechanical skills are helpful • Experience working on a construction site, understanding of blueprints and construction plans, and knowledge of construction tools, methods, and equipment is required • Carry a valid driver's license • Minimum of 2 years of experience in construction or a related field • Strong knowledge of construction techniques, tools, and materials • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, plans, and specifications • Experience operating construction equipment and machinery preferred • Excellent communication and teamwork skills • Attention to detail and commitment to quality and safety • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation Compensation: $17 - $19 hourly
