POSITION SUMMARY / PRIMARY PURPOSE
Provides professional and competent customer service during regular business hours by dispatching Service Technicians and other operations personnel via radio/telephone/internet/direct contact to customer/consumer premises; handles all associated paperwork.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
1.Receives request for service via emergency call line:
•Prepares service orders and provides instructions to customer/consumer as appropriate.
•Sorts service orders by district or priority and dispatches work to appropriate Service Technicians orother operations personnel.
•Maintains accurate and complete radio log of all dispatched/pertinent activity.
•Initiates calls to customers/consumers to inform them that service personnel are being/will bedispatched to customer/consumer as requested/scheduled. Follows through on pending orders andreschedules as appropriate.
•Clean up contact manager in DASH
•Review WIP/Preproduction
•Review availability of crews
•Maintaining the dispatch board/schedule
•Ensure quality assurance of the process
2.Consults with and dispatches proper personnel.
3.Provides information as appropriate, records and documents appropriate information, takes messages andrelays same, or transfers call to the proper number.
4.Uses Global Positioning System to locate Service Technicians or other operations personnel closest to theproblem and informs them of the nature/location of service orders to be performed and dispatches ServiceTechnicians or operations personnel to job.

EXPERIENCE/SKILL REQUIRED
Approximately one and one-half years’ experience in similar line of work. Demonstrated ability to deal
effectively with customers, communicate clearly, to successfully handle customer requests for service, and to
perform under stress and maintain balance; be disposed to aid and cooperation. Capable of effectively creating
and closing service orders. Good working knowledge of the methods, practices and procedures of the work
involved. Ability to use computer, GPS, security monitoring equipment, and other office equipment such as
calculator, facsimile, etc.
