Rural Mutual Insurance Company is seeking a detail-oriented Premium Auditor to join our remote team serving Wisconsin businesses. This position is primarily remote for candidates residing in Wisconsin. In this role, you’ll review and verify policyholder financial and business records to ensure accurate premium calculations and compliance with industry standards. Responsibilities: • Collect audit and policy information from commercial and farm customers via online platforms, mail, phone, or written correspondence. • Analyze financial data using rating and classification guidelines from applicable bureaus. • Identify discrepancies between estimated and actual exposures and provide clear recommendations to Underwriting. • Document audit findings and maintain accurate records in policy files and internal systems. • Flag underwriting concerns and coordinate follow-up with the appropriate teams. • Participate in team initiatives and special projects as assigned. • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory standards. • Perform additional duties as assigned by the supervisor to support departmental goals. Qualifications: • Bachelor’s degree in Insurance, Business Administration, Accounting, or related field preferred; OR 2–4 years of equivalent experience. • Additional industry-related coursework or certifications preferred. • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail. • Excellent communication skills for interacting with agents, policyholders, and internal teams. • Ability to manage an independent workload and meet deadlines in a remote environment. • High level of integrity, accountability, and customer-focused mindset. Compensation: $50,000 - $55,000 yearly
