Job Description

Premium Legacy is seeking a skilled Peer Support staff work closely with clients who are recovering from substance abuse. Essential Duties and Responsibilities for this Position : The Peer Support Specialist will provide service activities to include but not be limited to: * Assisting with skill enhancement or acquisition and support ongoing treatment and functional gains. * Developing interpersonal and community relational skills, including socialization, adaptation to home, school, work and other natural environments. * Mentoring and Support through shared experiences and/or acquired knowledge. * Symptom monitoring and self-management of symptoms. * · Daily and Community living skills building. * At the request of the individual, attends treatment team meetings, clinical staffing, and individual service planning sessions with case managers, treatment staff, family members, and, particularly, the individual, to identify and meet client treatment needs and to promote the use of self-advocacy by the individual and person-centered planning by the team. * Complies with agency policies and procedures. * Protects client confidentially. * Provides transportation for clients as needed. * Participate in our quarterly Travel Therapy program, which occasionally we travel out of the state up to week. * Be on-call occasionally or work on Saturday or Sunday once a month. * Completing required documentation for any/all services provided. Requirements for This Position: * High school diploma or equivalent is required * Minimum of six months experience with clients in a behavioral health setting * Has received, or is in the process of receiving, their Peer Support Certification * Valid driver's license * Valid CPR/First Aid certifications or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire * Valid Fingerprint Clearance Card or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire * Negative TB test * Three-year Motor Vehicle Record that meets our auto insurance carrier's coverage requirements Benefits: * Medical, Dental and Vision * 401(k) * PTO * Paid Holiday and Floating Holiday Supplemental pay types: * Bonus pay Company Description Premium Legacy Healthcare is a faith-based loving, caring company delivering substance abuse treatment services with respect and excellence.
