    SurgCenter Northeast is hiring a Preoperative PACU Charge Nurse!

    $7,500 Sign On Bonus

    SurgCenter Northeast is an Ambulatory Surgery Center in Temple Terrace, Florida.

    Preoperative PACU Charge Nurse at SurgCenter Northeast:

    • Supervises the Preop/PACU staff to provide a daily smooth flow of cases.
    • Prepares monthly schedules.
    • Prepare, coordinate and perform monthly staff meetings
    • Communicate effectively with physicians to resolve issues and provide efficiency and smooth case flow.
    • Assists with education by coordinating and/or giving in-services.
    • Prepare schedules in the afternoon for next day.
    • Communicate with vendors and representatives for supplies, equipment or instruments
    • Works closely with Materials and Sterile Processing Dept to coordinate supplies & instrument needs.
    • Preparing and administering annual evaluations
    • Works closely with manager with hiring and orienting Preop/PACU staff members
    • Helps in revising and preparing policies that relate to Preop/PACU functions
    • Assistance in maintaining compliance for Joint Commission surveys

    Qualifications:

    • Graduate of accredited school of professional nursing
    • BSN preferred.
    • Two (2) years experience in surgery management that must include pre-op, intra-op, post-op care with total joint and spine experience.
    • Current FL License
    • BLS & ACLS Certification required
    • Independent decision making skills
    • Ability to prioritize and handle multiple projects.
    • Excellent communication skills with staff and physicians.

    EDUCATION, TRAINING, AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

    • Current Florida Nursing License
    • Current CPR, ACLS, and PALS
    • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
    • Minimum 2 years experience in a manager role
    • Ability to recognize, evaluate, solve problems, and correct errors.
    • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients, hospital staff, physicians, vendors, and the public.
    • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
    • Demonstrates accountability, professionalism, openness, receptivity to change, creativity, and innovative.
    • Excellent communication skills
    • Ability to adapt to change quickly, strong knowledge base relative to surgical procedures and management of the surgical patient
    • Understands the principles of the aseptic technique and their implementation
    • Ability to care for patients from infancy to geriatrics
    • Excellent teaching skills
    • Basic knowledge of Performance Improvement ideology
    • Experience working in an ASC is a plus.
    • Must be team-oriented and patient-focused.
