About the Role:

Ballerina Restaurant Inc in Bal Harbour, FL is looking for a talented and motivated Prep Cook to join our kitchen team! Responsibilities:

Execute mise en place by prepping ingredients including chopping, slicing, dicing, and portioning

Follow recipes and prep lists accurately to ensure consistency and quality

Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary workstation at all times

Assist line cooks and kitchen staff during service as needed

Properly store and label all prepped food items per food safety guidelines

Monitor and rotate stock using FIFO (First In, First Out) practices

Assist with receiving and storing food deliveries

Requirements:

Prior experience as a Prep Cook, Kitchen Assistant, or similar role preferred

Basic knife skills and familiarity with kitchen equipment

Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards (ServSafe certification a plus)

Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen environment

Strong attention to detail and commitment to consistency

Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs

Reliable, punctual, and a strong team player
