About the Role:

Fratellinos Italian Restaurant in Brea, CA is looking for a talented and passionate Prep Cook to join our kitchen team! If you love the art of Italian cuisine and thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment, this is the perfect opportunity to bring your culinary skills to a beloved local restaurant. Prep cook receives cash tips.

Responsibilities:

Prepare and portion ingredients according to recipes and chef specifications

Chop, slice, dice, and marinate meats, vegetables, and other ingredients for daily service

Assist in the preparation of house-made sauces, pastas, and Italian staples

Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary workstation throughout each shift

Properly store and label food items following FIFO and food safety standards

Assist line cooks and kitchen staff during high-volume service periods

Monitor and replenish prep inventory to ensure smooth kitchen operations

Requirements:

Prior experience in a prep cook or kitchen role preferred

Basic knife skills and familiarity with kitchen equipment

Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards (ServSafe certification a plus)

Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume restaurant environment

Strong attention to detail and ability to follow recipes consistently

Reliable, punctual, and a strong team player

Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs
