    Job Description: As a Prep Cook at Ling & Louie’s, you play a vital role in the kitchen by preparing ingredients that keep service running smoothly. You’ll handle daily prep tasks with care, consistency, and efficiency, ensuring all components are ready and up to our quality standards. This position is perfect for someone who enjoys working behind the scenes, takes pride in organization, and thrives in a fast-paced kitchen environment.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Prepare ingredients for service, including chopping vegetables, portioning proteins, making sauces, and other prep tasks according to recipes and guidelines.

    Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked prep station at all times.

    Label, date, and properly store food items following food safety standards.

    Assist with receiving and rotating inventory to ensure freshness and minimize waste.

    Support line cooks during service as needed to keep operations flowing smoothly.

    Follow all food safety, sanitation, and health department regulations.

    Work collaboratively with the kitchen team to meet daily prep and service needs.

    Qualifications:

    Previous kitchen or prep cook experience preferred, but willing to train the right candidate.

    Strong knife skills and attention to detail.

    Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

    Knowledge of basic food safety and sanitation practices.

    Dependable, organized, and a strong team player.

    Flexibility to work mornings, nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
