Company Overview: Join our Team! The Big Chill 30A is a family friendly entertainment complex located on historic 30A, nestled between Alys Beach and Seaside. Our venue hosts 5 restaurants, 3 bars, retail shops, an arcade, an amphitheater for live music and a 25’ LED Jumbotron for sports and movies. We are open year-round, from 7am to 10pm.

We are now hiring for the spring/summer season! Open positions include both Line Cooks and Line Cook TRAINERS (depending on experience). Our restaurant concepts include Local Smoke BBQ, Mile Marker 15 and Tacklebox, all with unique menu offerings. We have both Full Time and Part Time positions available and offer flexible scheduling for students/seasonal employees.

Responsibilities:

Inspect and clean food preparation areas, such as equipment and work surfaces or serving areas to ensure safe and sanitary food-handling practices

Ensure freshness of food and ingredients by checking for quality, keeping track of old and new items, and rotating stock

Ensure proper portioning, plating, and presentation according to recipes and spec sheets

Follow all food safety and hygiene standards, including proper food handling and storage

Assist with cleaning duties as needed

Communicate effectively with other kitchen staff and management team

Qualifications:

Legally eligible to work in the United States

Able to stand or walk for extended periods of time, reach, stoop, bend and lift (up to 30 lbs)

Able to read, write, speak and understand English

Current Food Handler certification a plus

Able to work at least 35 hours per week
