    Position Overview

    Aiona is seeking motivated, detail-oriented Prep Cooks to join our opening culinary team. This role supports the chefs and kitchen leadership through consistent, high-quality preparation of ingredients and components essential to daily service.

    Prep Cooks play a critical role in building a strong foundation for service by ensuring organization, efficiency, and adherence to Aiona’s culinary standards.

    Key Responsibilities

    Prepare ingredients and components according to recipes and chef specifications

    Perform knife work including chopping, slicing, portioning, and trimming

    Assist with preparation for live-fire cooking, sauces, marinades, and garnishes

    Measure, weigh, and portion ingredients accurately

    Maintain clean, organized prep stations and storage areas

    Properly label, date, and store products following FIFO standards

    Assist with receiving and storing food products and supplies

    Support service and production needs as directed by kitchen leadership

    Complete opening, prep, and side work duties efficiently

    Culinary Standards & Teamwork

    Uphold Aiona’s culinary quality and presentation standards

    Follow all food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety guidelines

    Communicate clearly and respectfully with chefs and kitchen teammates

    Maintain a professional, positive, and team-oriented attitude

    Qualifications

    Previous kitchen or prep experience preferred, but not required

    Basic knife skills and understanding of kitchen fundamentals

    Ability to follow recipes and instructions precisely

    Strong organizational skills and time management

    Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs

    Availability for early morning, daytime, weekend, and holiday shifts
