San Francisco Meat Co. is a neighborhood butcher shop committed to quality, craft, and great food. We take pride in our products and the team behind them — and we're looking for a motivated, detail-oriented person to join us in the kitchen.

The Role

As our Prep/Sandwich Person, you'll be the backbone of daily operations — making sure everything is prepped, stocked, and ready so our front-of-house team can keep up with the lunch rush and beyond. This is a hands-on, fast-paced role where consistency, cleanliness, and teamwork matter.

Day-to-day responsibilities include:

• Prepping sauces, meats, and all sandwich components to spec
• Building sandwiches and made-to-order items with speed and care
• Keeping the kitchen stocked and organized throughout your shift
• Supporting the front-of-house team so service runs smoothly
• Maintaining a clean, safe, and sanitary work environment in compliance with food safety standards
• Communicating clearly with teammates about prep levels, needs, and priorities

What We're Looking For

• At least 1 year of experience in a kitchen, deli, or food service environment
• Ability to work efficiently and stay organized in a busy environment
• Comfortable on your feet for extended periods and able to lift up to 50 lbs
• Weekend availability is required — this is a firm requirement of the role
• A positive, team-first attitude
• Food handler certification (or willingness to obtain one )

Compensation & Schedule

• Pay: $21.00/hour + tips
• Hours: Full-time and part-time position available
• Weekends: Required for all candidates
