Organization Summary: Prep for Prep is an education and leadership development program that creates ethical and effective leaders who reflect our diverse society for the benefit of all. Prep identifies New York City's most promising students of color, prepares them for success at the nation's top independent schools throughout the Northeast, and supports their academic and personal growth through college graduation. Today, over 5,000 students and alumni in the Prep for Prep Community are leaders in every field imaginable. CURRENTLY, PREP FOR PREP IS WORKING REMOTELY. STARTING JUNE 2021, PREP WILL RETURN TO IN-PERSON LEARNING ON A LIMITED BASIS. Job Summary: The Operations Department is responsible for the operational activities which support the programs, events, and facilities at Prep for Prep. All employees of the organization should see their roles as (1) contributing to achieve this goal in the highest quality manner possible and (2) working in conjunction with all other members of the staff. In light of this, the tasks listed below are intended as a general framework of the responsibilities of this position. Flexibility and continued quality improvement are necessary and require that individuals not perceive any job description as fixed. General Responsibilities: - Providing operational support to Prep for Prep summer and school-year programs and events. - Assisting with shifting program logistics and implementation as needed. - Monitoring and reinforcing COVID safety protocols for all programs/events and with staff, faculty, and students. - Managing inventory of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and distributing as needed. - Organizing and conducting daily mail runs between Prep's two office locations and other sites and transporting materials/supplies to program sites as needed. - Substituting for the receptionist as needed. This would be full-day coverage or lunchtime coverage. - Contacting Director of Operations for any emergencies or urgent matters. - Assisting the Director of Operations with additional projects as needed.
