    Rydal Park, a premier Life Plan Community located in Jenkintown is hiring for a full-time Human Resources Assistant to join our team!

    General Responsibilities

    Assists in the coordination of the day to day Human Resources functions of the community. Acts as an advocate for employees and managers, promoting positive employee relations. Assists in the HR compliance issues and ensures full compliance with all DOH, DPW and other regulatory requirements at all times. Performs duties in support of Presby's Inspired Life's mission to ensure the highest quality of resident care in an economically sound and efficient manner.

    Essential Duties

    -Assist in the overall recruitment process. a. Follows appropriate guidelines for internal job posting, external advertising requests and selection of qualified candidates. b. Reviews all internals and external applications to ensure that they meet minimum requirements. c. Makes formal job offer, conducts employment references, criminal background checks and drugs screens as part of the post offer process. Coordinates start date. d. Communicates with internal and external candidates not selected maintaining positive employee relations during the employment process. -Ensures credentials are kept current for all team members. Communicates with the Administrator and/or Department Head of any potential need to remove employees from the schedule.

    • Ensures compliance with state and federal regulations with respect to personnel files, including DPW/DOH requirements, at all times. Participates in community audits processes such as QA, DPW and DOH. Ensures posting of required information in accordance with Federal and State requirements.
    • Assist in the coordination of the workers' compensation claims process for work-related injuries occurring at the community. Ensures timely and complete reporting of work related injuries and ensures timely follow-up in accordance with the Workers' Compensation Act and Bureau of Workers' Compensation.
    • Promotes Presby's Service from the HEART through clear communication of customer service standards, identifying employee recognition opportunities and encouraging accountability for excellent customer service at all levels throughout the community.
    • Assist in the coordination and execution of special employee appreciation and recognition events at the community.
    • Assists in the management of the performance review process for the community. Ensures increase and retro adjustments are processed.
    • Assists in the administration of the employee benefits programs including medical, dental and ancillary coverage. Answers employee questions regarding benefits, including 401(k) and pension. Sends reports of changes impacting employee benefits to the Benefit Administrator and Corporate HR Department.
    • Performs administrative functions in support of HR needs. Maintaining and updating employee personnel files. Updates HRIS and other systems timely. Processes invoices. Ensuring supplies are fully stocked.
    • Stores salary reports and/or any other confidential or sensitive information in a secure location and maintains confidentiality of all employment information.

    Other Duties

    1. Assists with other HR projects, events and activities as needed.
    2. Participates in community meetings as required.
    3. Adheres to and complies with state, federal and other regulatory requirements.

    Basic Qualifications

    Education/Training: Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred. Professional Certification in Human Resources (PHR) a plus. Experience in healthcare field desired. Knowledge of state and federal regulations, pertaining to the healthcare field, a plus.

    Skill(s): Proficient PC Skills; advanced user level of word processing, spreadsheet and presentation software such as Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and other applicable software. Ability to communicate and interact clearly, courteously, and professionally with residents and staff at all levels of the organization. Proven competence in handling confidential information. Strong skills in planning, organizing and handling multiple tasks. Ability to work as a team member. Proficient reading, writing, grammar, and mathematics skills. Ability to operate various office equipment and machines.

    Experience: A minimum of three years of experience in Human Resources is required
