First Years Preschool is seeking assistant applicants for all Older Ones, Twos, and Threes classes. Assistants are responsible for working with children, must be a spiritually committed believer possessing active Christian traits and values, and possess a high school diploma. Experience working with children in a childcare setting is preferred.

Job duties include the following:

• Assist teaching staff with instructional tasks.
• Assist students individually or in groups to present or reinforce learning concepts.
• Provide guidance and supervision for children in conjunction with teachers or independently in the classroom or on school grounds.
• Greet children and parents upon their arrival and departure from school.
• Assist in the daily general cleanup of activity areas.
• Carry out discipline in a productive, Christian manner according to documented procedures.
• Attending monthly staff meetings and other called meetings to coordinate program activities.
• Continue professional development through attendance at in-service training programs.
• Diaper changing if working in the Older Ones or Twos classes.
