    The Goddard School of Powell is searching for a passionate, self-motivated leader eager to lend their vision as our new Assistant Director.     Qualifications

    All candidates, including those who wish to be considered for the position of Assistant Director, must meet one or more of the following criteria:

    A Bachelor’s degree or higher in Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education, Child Development -OR- an Associate’s degree or higher in Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education, Child Development or a related field AND 1 year of experience working in a licensed childcare center or preschool and 1 year of management experience.

    Previous experience as an Assistant Director in a child care facility is preferred. Previous experience in a preschool setting is a requirement.

    Responsibilities

    An Assistant Director’s responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, the following:

    ADMINISTRATIVE

    Partner with on-site Owner and Center Director to deliver on our mission to provide the highest quality care and education in the New Albany, OH area.

    Maintain accurate record-keeping, both state and Goddard requirements (eg, children’s files, faculty files).

    Review Employee Handbook annually

    Address parent needs and concerns in a positive, professional manner

    LICENSING

    Maintain current licensing documentation

    Maintain licensing & Goddard QA regulations

    CURRICULUM

    Assess and partner with teaching staff to ensure care and curriculum excellence

    Provide classroom support as needed
