Job Summary:

As a Childcare Assistant Teacher, you will be given the tools, resources, and training to support the Lead Teacher, assists in the operations of an assigned classroom to ensure Celebree mission, vision and values are upheld, and children are provided with a developmentally age-appropriate learning environment.

Responsibilities

Support classroom management while ensuring compliance with all regulations, company standards, and policies

Provides a welcoming and friendly classroom environment for children, parents & visitors

Assist in maintaining attractive and current classroom/hallway displays and an educational parent board

Recognizes classroom or school-related issues and collaborates with the Lead Teacher and Director to find effective solutions

Engages in effective communication with parents by greeting them personally, promptly addressing concerns, offering positive feedback, and sharing regular updates on their child’s progress and classroom activities

Support and supervise children during all activities, using positive guidance and Conscious Discipline techniques as needed

Help implement age-appropriate lesson plans in a safe, nurturing environment, following the Celebree School curriculum

Qualifications:

This role requires basic knowledge of child development and state regulations, with skills in classroom support, organization, communication, problem-solving, patience, and flexibility

Teaching: 1 year (Required or Preferred)

Childcare: 1 year (Required or Preferred)

Child Development Associate (Preferred)

Associate’s degree in human services field or early childhood education (Preferred)

Physical Demands:

The physical demands are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of the job. The job requires frequent bending, squatting, reaching, lifting and carrying; ability to lift 50 pounds.

Specific Skills:

Certification in CPR & First Aid. Ability and flexibility in working with various age groups.
