📌 Position Overview
We are seeking a enthusiastic, reliable, and caring Preschool Assistant Teacher to support our classroom team. The ideal candidate will work alongside the Lead Teacher to help implement engaging activities, supervise children, and maintain a safe, inclusive, and developmentally appropriate learning environment.
📝 Key Responsibilities
Support the Lead Teacher in planning and implementing curriculum activities
Supervise and engage with children ages 2–5 in daily routines, play, and learning
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe classroom environment
Observe and assist in documenting children’s progress
Communicate respectfully with children, families, and staff
Ensure compliance with center policies and Tennessee licensing standards
✅ Education & Experience (minimum):
High School Diploma or GED required; college coursework in Early Childhood Education (ECE), Child Development, or related field preferred
Prior experience in childcare, preschool, or early education settings is a plus!
✅ Age & Training:
Must meet required minimum age of 18 years
Complete all required training as identified by Tennessee DHS Licensing
Required health and safety certifications such as CPR/First Aid and Shaken Baby/Abusive Head Trauma training
✅ Background & Safety:
Must pass a criminal background check and drug screening
Comply with health screenings/physical
Provide 3 professional references
