Position Overview: We are seeking a caring, organized, and dependable Preschool Cook to join our team! The Cook will be responsible for preparing healthy, child-friendly meals and snacks in accordance with nutrition and safety guidelines. This role also includes providing light housekeeping support and assisting classrooms when needed to maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for our children.

Responsibilities:

Plan, prepare, and serve nutritious meals and snacks that meet state nutritional guidelines

Maintain a clean, sanitary kitchen that meets all health and safety standards

Manage food inventory, order supplies, and minimize waste

Support classrooms during transition times (e.g., meal setup, cleanup, or teacher breaks)

Assist with light housekeeping duties throughout the center (laundry, sanitizing surfaces, organizing supplies)

Collaborate with staff to ensure a smooth daily routine for children and classrooms

Follow all center policies, licensing regulations, and food safety protocols

Qualifications:

ServSafe Certification required

Previous experience in food preparation for children or in a childcare/school setting preferred

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and stand for extended periods

Strong organizational and communication skills

Team player with a positive attitude and flexibility
