Preschool Cook / Childcare Cook – The Learning Experience Dedham Location: Dedham, MA Schedule: Monday–Friday Pay: $17 - $19 per hour

About The Learning Experience – Dedham The Learning Experience – Dedham is seeking a reliable and organized Preschool Cook to support our early childhood center’s daily meal program. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys working in a childcare, daycare, or school kitchen environment and is committed to providing healthy, safe meals to young children.

If you have experience with food preparation, kitchen safety, and supporting a busy school environment, we’d love to meet you!

Key Responsibilities

Prepare and serve nutritious breakfasts, lunches, and snacks according to center menus and dietary guidelines.

Follow proper food safety, sanitation, and storage procedures at all times.

Manage allergy lists and communicate dietary needs clearly with teachers.

Maintain a clean, organized kitchen that meets state and local health regulations.

Track inventory, assist with ordering supplies, and help manage kitchen records.

Support classroom staff during mealtimes if needed and be a positive presence throughout the center.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required.

Food Handler Certification (or willingness to obtain).

Previous experience as a cook, kitchen aide, food prep assistant, school cook, or daycare cook preferred.

Ability to lift 25+ lbs and work on your feet in a fast-paced environment.

Strong communication skills and a commitment to children’s health and safety.

Must meet all Massachusetts EEC and health department requirements.
