Key Responsibilities:

Plan and prepare nutritious meals for children that meet proper nutritional requirements.

Ensure safety of all children by maintaining and tracking food allergies for each child in our center and communicate identified allergies to teachers daily with every food delivery.

Adhere to proper food safety, food handling, and sanitation procedures, ensuring that food is stored and managed properly.

Partner with the Center Leadership team to purchase all food/supplies necessary and keep inventory records as required by local and state agencies.

Provide excellent customer service and a positive attitude towards parents and children, listen, and communicate effectively.

Demonstrates flexibility to the daily business need of a childcare center.

Qualifications:

1+ year of experience in food preparation and cooking.

Ability to obtain food handling certificate within 90 days of hire.

High School Diploma or equivalent.

Ability to meet state/local childcare licensing requirements.

Skills

Background in food preparation

Proven work experience in a kitchen setting

Hands-on experience with executing a menu and ordering ingredients

Familiarity with kitchen sanitation and safety regulations

Excellent organizational skills

Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced work environment
