The Kensington School is seeking a Preschool Director – Enrollment & Family Experience to lead the family-facing side of the school. This role owns the process from inquiry → tour → enrollment → on-boarding → retention support, while also serving as a strong leadership presence for families and supporting parent-facing safety, documentation, and licensing-related communication when needed.
This is not a receptionist or helper role. We are looking for someone who can build trust with families, follow systems consistently, manage details carefully, and help reduce day-to-day owner dependency by creating a warm, professional, and organized family experience.
Key responsibilities
Respond to inquiries and schedule tours
Conduct tours and guide families through enrollment
Follow up consistently after tours and parent conversations
Support family onboarding and parent communication
Maintain accurate notes, reminders, and next steps in Procare and related systems
Help improve family-facing systems and processes
Serve as a visible leadership presence for families and visitors
Support director-level communication tied to safety, incidents, and parent-facing compliance matters when appropriate
Ideal background
Childcare, preschool, private school, admissions, or family-facing leadership experience
Strong with tours, follow-up, parent communication, and relationship-building
Organized, professional, calm under pressure, and strong with documentation
Comfortable using Procare or similar systems

Finalists may complete a paid assessment day
This may include reviewing scripts, supervised family interaction, drafting follow-up communication, entering notes into the system, and completing a short practical exercise.
