We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual to join our team as a Preschool Director. You will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our preschool, ensuring a safe and nurturing environment for young learners. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education, exceptional leadership skills, and a passion for creating a positive and enriching experience for both children and their families.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Leadership and Administration: Develop a deep understanding of the mission and vision of the school. Ensure the well-being and operational success of the school. Maintain a positive work environment. Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure the smooth operation of the preschool.
Parent and Community Engagement: Build and maintain positive relationships with parents. Organize and facilitate regular communication, including parent-teacher conferences and events.
Staff Management and Development: Recruit, hire, and train teachers and staff. Establish and sustain a motivated and enthusiastic team. Conduct regular evaluations and provide feedback to ensure staff development. Foster a collaborative and supportive team culture.
Safety and Compliance: Ensure the safety and well-being of all children and staff. Stay informed about and ensure compliance with relevant licensing and accreditation standards.
REQUIREMENTS:
At least 3 years of experience in preschool environment as a Director
Prior experience with Constructivist (Reggio Emilia, Montessori, Waldorf etc.) philosophy for early childhood education
Must have experience and passion for leading leading outreach initiatives and meeting enrollment targets
Bilingual is a plus (English and Spanish)
Valid Florida Director credential
DCF background screening requirements
Master’s Degree or Bachelor's Degree in child development or early childhood education from an accredited college or university
Knowledge of licensing and accreditation requirements
Strong communication skills and a friendly, nurturing attitude
Excellent organizational and time management skills
High level of computer skills (Microsoft Office, Word, PowerPoint, email)
