    Harbor View Creative Learning Center is looking for an experienced Breaker/ Floater with a qualifying letter to join our team! We are looking for someone who is comfortable working with infants and young toddlers. The ideal candidate will be energetic, happy, and reliable.

    ** You will need a North Carolina qualifying letter, a recent TB test, and a physical before your first day.

    Responsibilities:

    Employ a variety of educational techniques (storytelling, educational play, etc.) to teach children

    Fill in for the teacher when they are out and follow their lesson plan

    Observe each child to help them improve their social competencies and build self-esteem

    Encourage children to interact with each other and resolve occasional arguments

    Guide children in developing their artistic and practical skills through a carefully constructed curriculum (e.g., identifying shapes, numbers, colors, art, etc.).

    Track children's progress and report to parents (Tadpole's app)

    Communicate with parents regularly to understand the children's background

    Collaborate with other educators

    Maintain a clean and tidy classroom consistent with health and safety standards

    Benefits:

    All Employees will accrue Personal Time and PTO hours do not expire and can roll over to the following year.

    Sick Pay will be accrued for a maximum of 48 hours, applied to each employee's policy, and paid out for absences due to illness each calendar year. Sick pay hours do not expire and can roll over to the following year.

    Desired Candidate

    Experience working in a licensed childcare facility

    Qualifying letter (Needed before the first day)

    TB test and Physical

    Familiarity with safety and sanitation guidelines for classrooms

    Excellent communication and instructional skills

    Ability to act as a mediator between children

    Cool-tempered, friendly, and reliable

    Certification in child CPR or willingness to obtain
