Responsibilities
Create a safe and engaging classroom environment
Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans
Support cognitive, physical, and social-emotional development
Use play-based learning to encourage creativity
Plan arts, music, storytelling, and outdoor activities
Observe and document children’s progress
Communicate with parents about milestones
Collaborate with staff to enhance learning
Maintain licensing and safety standards
Foster a positive, inclusive classroom
Qualifications
Passion for early childhood education
Experience as a preschool or daycare teacher preferred
Knowledge of standards and requirements of the National Association for the Education of Young Children
Experience using the curriculum from Teaching Strategies in classroom instruction
CDA or Associate’s Degree in Early Childhood Education preferred (or equivalent experience)
Strong communication and classroom management skills
Patience, empathy, and creativity
CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
