Job Title: Preschool Lunch Breaker / Floater Location: Kidtastic Kids, Farmingville

Schedule: Part-time 2 Day Placement Monday - Friday 10:30AM - 2:00PM

Pay Rate Range: $17.36 - $19.00/hour

Job Description: We are seeking a reliable and caring Preschool Lunch Breaker / Floater to support our classroom teams during lunch periods and throughout the day as needed. This role is essential in maintaining classroom coverage, supporting children during transitions, and ensuring a safe, nurturing environment while teachers take scheduled breaks.

Responsibilities:

Provide classroom coverage during teacher and 1:1 aid lunch breaks

Supervise and assist children during lunch and transition times

Support classroom routines and daily activities as needed

Assist with general classroom organization and cleanup

Ensure the safety and well-being of all children at all times

Follow center policies, procedures, and licensing requirements

Communicate effectively with teaching staff and supervisors

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent required

Experience working with young children preferred (training provided)

Ability to work well with children ages 6 months to 5 years

Dependable, flexible, and team-oriented

Strong supervision and communication skills

Must meet all state and program background clearance requirements
