    SUMMARY

    The purpose of this part time Ministry Coordinator is to help ensure success in welcoming families, checking in families, and placing children in correct age appropriate classrooms.

    GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES

    Works in coordination with the overall goals and objectives of First Naples.

    Works with the Preschool Director and Preschool Assistant to work toward excellence in all areas to ensure a welcoming environment in the preschool.

    Basic personal responsibilities:

    Maintain a vital and growing personal walk with the Lord through committed Bible study, prayer, and meditation.

    Lead yourself and your home towards Honesty, Honor, Humility, Hunger, the Holy Spirit, and Health (Emotional, Spiritual, Financially, and Physically)

    Faithfully support the ministries of First Naples by maintaining wise stewardship measures over the resources entrusted to you.

    Perform duties and responsibilities in a manner to glorify Christ and further the mission and ministry purposes of First Naples (Colossians 3:23-24).

    SPECIFIC LIST OF DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    Welcome all returning and first time guests with a friendly smile and joyful attitude.

    Arriving 1 hour prior to the start time of Tuesday morning, Wednesday evening, and Sunday morning programming.

    Available to assist at desk for additional preschool events/church childcare needs.

    To provide directions to all areas of the church campus.

    Inputting new families into our database to ensure a successful check in experience.

    Open all classroom doors.

    Make coffee, making sure refreshments are available in the kitchen for volunteers.

    Put curriculum buckets out if needed (in FBA classrooms)

    Check that all volunteers have arrived

    Print volunteer name tags

    Prepare preschool worship room

    Open nursing room

    Prepare stroller parking room

    Check on all classrooms to make sure classroom ratios are properly maintained.

    Check on each classroom to get headcount of teachers/kids

    Assist classrooms traveling to the playground

    Assist volunteers with behavioral management when needed

    Pass out snacks

    Assist with classrooms transitions in between services

    Place all dirty water pitchers in dishwasher

    Prepare first time guest bags

    Restock security tape roles in machines and placing extra in cabinets

    Return all curriculum buckets to the resource room at the end of services.

    Ensure FBA classrooms have been cleared of all supplies

    SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

    Supervise volunteers and part-time preschool teachers scheduled to serve in the classrooms.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    To perform this job successfully, an individual must be skilled in time management, being able to efficiently check in families.

    EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

    High School Diploma, Ministry related experience and/or training is encouraged.

    LANGUAGE SKILLS

    The individual must have excellent interpersonal skills, ability to work with a diverse group of people, communicate clearly and effectively in person, demonstrating tact and diplomacy. Must show proper phone etiquette when contacting a parent. Exceptional interpersonal skills are required to develop and maintain strong working relationships with volunteers, co-workers, the public and church members and regular attendees.

    COMPUTER AND MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

    The individual must have demonstrated knowledge of our check in database. Inputting data correctly and having the knowledge of how to place children in correct groups. The individual must be able to obtain parent information including name, address, email, and phone number. The individual must be able to obtain children's information including: name, date of birth, grade, allergies and photo consent.

    REASONING ABILITY

    The ability to multitask with greeting families, inputting new families, helping families to check in, walking families to classrooms and providing supplies to volunteers. Must be able to work effectively and efficiently under stressful conditions to ensure. The ability to problem solve if volunteers arrive late, do not show or call off. The ability to problem solve to combine classrooms when necessary.

    While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to walk in and out of rooms. The employee must be able to use their hands and arms to reach and be able to carry twenty pounds. The employee must be able to push carts in and out of rooms.

    The person must be able to pick up and hold a child

    This person must be able to lift up to twenty pounds to carry supplies.
