This position is responsible for the Early Childhood Ministry for The Ark (age 2 months to 4 years) during Sunday AM services, and all mid-week childcare support to include special events. Must possess keen organizational skills and excellent customer service. This position is part time - 29 hours/week. Responsibilities: • Early Childhood Ministry: Sunday 9 & 11 am Services • As needed: Sunday from 4:30 pm-7:45 pm • Mid-week ministry support childcare: Tuesdays at 10 am & 7 pm, and Wednesdays at 7 pm • Attends any required ministry meetings and training • Assists the Next Generations Children’s Pastor in organizing and maintaining the children’s ministry resource room and storage areas • Schedule and coordinate a team of paid staff and volunteers working for weekend services and Mid-week Ministry Support Childcare • Ability to lead, uplift, and motivate the team • Collaborates with the Next Generations Children’s Pastor to help provide interactive lessons based on God’s Word with the goal of introducing young children to Jesus Christ and Biblical concepts using integrated worship, crafts, activities, etc. • Inspects classrooms regularly to maintain ministry excellence • Prepares weekly classroom curriculum bins and ensures teachers have all necessary materials to execute weekend services Qualifications: • High school diploma or GED diploma • 1+ years of administrative experience • Working for or with non-profit organizations or a ministry • Preferred: 2+ years of experience working with children or in children’s ministry **** Compensation: $15 hourly
