    Preschool Operations Manager

    Part-Time | Approximately 25 Hours per Week (Monday–Friday)

    Schedule: 10–11-month position aligned with the North Plainfield School District calendar. Flexible schedule based on school needs and candidate availability.

    Reports To: Director/Owner

    Position Summary:

    The Preschool Operations Manager creates and maintains an organized, efficient, and welcoming preschool operation, allowing the Director to focus on educational leadership, teacher development, and program quality.

    This is an administrative and operations position—not a teaching or instructional leadership role.

    Responsibilities

    Office & Operations

    Manage daily office operations.

    Maintain organized paper and digital filing systems.

    Organize archives and records.

    Prepare forms, reports, and correspondence.

    Maintain confidentiality of student and employee records.

    Organize office and storage areas.

    Maintain inventory and order supplies.

    Prepare materials for meetings, trainings, and events.

    Improve office systems and workflows.

    Licensing & Compliance

    Maintain licensing binders, personnel files, and student records.

    Track staff certifications, required training, and expiration dates.

    Prepare documentation for licensing visits and annual renewals.

    Assist with compliance-related paperwork.

    Human Resources

    Assist with onboarding new employees.

    Prepare orientation materials.

    Schedule interviews and communicate with applicants.

    Coordinate substitute scheduling.

    Maintain employee documentation and training records.

    Enrollment & Family Services

    Support enrollment and registration.

    Maintain student records.

    Communicate with prospective and current families.

    Marketing

    Assist with Summer Camp and enrollment marketing.

    Update the school website, social media, and communication apps.

    Assist with newsletters, family events, and community outreach.

    Qualifications

    Experience in office administration, operations management, school administration, or a related field preferred.

    Excellent organizational, communication, and time-management skills.

    Strong technology skills and ability to learn new software quickly.

    Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities.

    Professional, detail-oriented, confidential, and dependable.

    Positive attitude and commitment to teamwork.

    Experience in a preschool or educational setting is preferred but not required.
