Job Summary Come join our brand-new Early Learning School—Children’s Lighthouse of Mt. Juliet! We are seeking a compassionate, patient, and experienced Two-year-old Lead Teacher to join our growing team.
The ideal candidate is passionate about early childhood development and dedicated to creating a warm, nurturing, and supportive classroom environment that meets the physical, emotional, and developmental needs of infants and toddlers.
As a Lead 2'sTeacher, you will be responsible for building a cohesive teaching team, coordinating curriculum implementation, and managing the daily operations of the classroom. Teachers must have a strong understanding of children’s cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development to ensure a safe, engaging, and stimulating learning environment where children are encouraged to grow and succeed.
Duties
Implement the school's age-appropriate activities and curriculum that promote developmental milestones
Lead by example; encourage teaching team success through modeling and coaching.
Communicate effectively with parents and caregivers about daily routines, progress, and other information
Observe and document children's growth, behavior, and development
Ensure all center policies and state regulations are met.
Ensure a healthy and organized classroom environment – including maintaining appropriate hygiene and cleanliness standards and safety and security of children.
Attend staff meetings and professional development sessions as required.
Requirements
High School Diploma or GED
Degree or certificate in an early education related field is recommended but not required.
Minimum of 1 years of professional childcare experience.
Strong oral and written communication skills and basic computer skills.
High energy and the ability to work well with others (staff, children, and parents) and to foster a team environment.
A strong understanding of child development.
Infant/child CPR and First Aid certification.
Must clear full background check and must pass health screening.
Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and engage in active play
Able and willing to accept direction, feedback, and evaluation.
