    Job Summary We are seeking an energetic and experienced Preschool Teacher to join our team! You will be leading a class of 18 students through the school year, assessing their current academic level, and designing instruction to meet students’ collective and individual needs, along side 2 teaching assistants. Position start date would be Thursday, August 6, 2026.

    You are passionate about learning and helping students reach their potential. With strong creative and problem-solving skills, you love connecting with individual students and creating an engaging classroom environment.

    Responsibilities

    Create and follow a comprehensive curriculum

    Lead by example; encourage teaching team success through modeling and coaching.

    Plan individual and group age-appropriate activities to actively engage children and encourage social, cognitive and emotional growth.

    Assist children with developing social and emotional skills

    Coordinate and implement educational curriculum by developing classroom activities based on developmentally appropriate practices and early learning standards

    Communicate with parents and other school personnel

    Assess student's skills and performance to ensure they are meeting developmental milestones

    Ensure all center policies, Head Start Standards, and state regulations are met.

    Ensure a healthy classroom environment - including maintaining appropriate hygiene and cleanliness standards and safety and security of children.

    Qualifications

    Bachelor’s degree and state teaching early childhood certification

    Strong understanding of child development principles and best practices in education and classroom management

    Excellent verbal and written communication skills

    Knowledge of classroom health, safety, and sanitation guidelines and ability to closely adhere to the guidelines

    Problem-solving and mediation skills

    Must clear full background check and must pass health screening

    Requirements include the ability to take frequent walks, use hands and fingers, handle objects, tools or controls. May also be required to kneel, bend, squat or crawl.

    Excellent leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
