    Position Summary

    Boston's Bridge to Excellence is seeking a caring, energetic, and dedicated Preschool Teacher to join our early childhood team. The Preschool Teacher is responsible for planning and implementing a developmentally appropriate curriculum that supports children's cognitive, social-emotional, language, and physical development. The ideal candidate is passionate about early learning, values strong family partnerships, and creates an engaging classroom where every child feels safe, respected, and inspired to learn.

    Essential Responsibilities

    Curriculum & Instruction

    Plan and implement a developmentally appropriate curriculum aligned with Massachusetts EEC guidelines.

    Teach early literacy, language, math, science, and social-emotional skills through play-based learning.

    Create engaging learning experiences that encourage creativity, exploration, and independence.

    Adapt instruction to meet the individual needs of all learners.

    Child Development

    Foster children's social, emotional, cognitive, and physical growth.

    Observe, assess, and document children's developmental progress.

    Promote positive behavior using nurturing and developmentally appropriate practices.

    Maintain a safe, welcoming, and inclusive classroom environment.

    Family & Team Collaboration

    Build positive partnerships with families through regular communication.

    Collaborate with colleagues, specialists, and school partners to support children's success.

    Participate in staff meetings, trainings, and professional development.

    Health, Safety & Compliance

    Ensure compliance with all Massachusetts EEC licensing regulations and BBTE policies.

    Maintain accurate attendance, assessments, and required documentation.

    Follow classroom health, safety, sanitation, and emergency procedures.

    Qualifications

    Required

    High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field preferred.

    Meet Massachusetts EEC Preschool Teacher qualifications.

    Experience working with preschool-aged children.

    Strong understanding of child development and developmentally appropriate practices.

    Excellent communication, classroom management, and organizational skills.

    Ability to successfully complete all required Background Record Checks (BRC), CORI, and fingerprinting.

    Preferred

    CPR and First Aid Certification.

    Experience in an EEC-licensed early childhood program.

    Experience supporting children with diverse learning needs.
