This is a hands-on school operations role focused on helping teachers improve classroom quality while also supporting families, front-office communication, and daily school operations.

The right person will be able to move between classrooms and the front office, observe what is happening, guide teachers professionally, support classroom routines, and help leadership make sure expectations are being followed.
A strong candidate will have experience working in preschool or childcare classrooms and should feel comfortable helping teachers improve areas such as supervision, transitions, classroom management, positive guidance, teacher-child interaction, student engagement, and daily follow-through.
This role is ideal for someone who is warm with children and families, organized with details, and confident enough to mentor teachers in a professional and respectful way.
Key Responsibilities
Teacher Mentoring, Classroom Coaching & Quality Monitoring
Observe classrooms and help teachers strengthen routines, transitions, supervision, spacing, and positive guidance.
Mentor teachers by giving brief, respectful feedback and modeling appropriate classroom practices when needed.
Help teachers improve student engagement, classroom management, and consistency with school expectations.
Monitor classrooms for safety, supervision, teacher-child interaction, and overall classroom quality.
Communicate larger concerns, patterns, or repeated issues to the Director or Owner.
Help ensure classrooms are calm, safe, organized, and aligned with school policies and expectations.
Step into classrooms to support coverage or demonstrate expectations when needed.
Leave clear written notes when observing, supporting, or following up on a classroom concern.
Family Services & Parent Communication
Greet families and visitors with a warm, professional presence.
Support parent communication, including routine questions, reminders, and follow-ups.
Relay information between teachers, parents, and leadership clearly and professionally.
Help protect the confidentiality of student, staff, and family information.
Help with tours, community events, and follow-up communication as assigned.
Escalate parent concerns to leadership appropriately and professionally.
Front Office & Daily Operations
Answer phones and help maintain a smooth, organized front-office environment.
Help manage lobby flow, authorized pickups, ID checks, and daily communication.
Support arrival, dismissal, and student transitions, including headcounts and rosters.
Help track daily student/staff absences and communicate schedule impacts.
Assist with staff coverage needs in coordination with the Director.
Maintain organized records, checklists, files, and follow-up systems.
Enrollment, Records & Compliance Support
Help ensure new-student files are complete before the first day.
Assist with immunization updates, doctor notes, training records, and staff file organization.
Support recordkeeping systems so required documents are accurate, complete, and easy to find.
Follow school procedures and licensing-related expectations.
Meals, Supplies & Sanitation
Support snack inventory, lunch/snack logistics, and allergy-related procedures.
Help maintain clean, organized, and safe school spaces.
Complete sanitation tasks using PPE and checklists when assigned.
Transportation / After-School Pickups
Drive the daycare van when scheduled, if qualified and trained.
Maintain accurate headcounts, rosters, and communication during transportation.

1–2+ years of experience in early childhood, preschool, childcare, school office, or a classroom support role.
Strong attendance, punctuality, and reliable transportation.
Calm, friendly, confident presence with children, parents, and teachers.
Ability to support, mentor, and redirect teachers professionally.
Proven classroom management and positive behavior guidance experience.
Strong written and verbal communication.
Ability to complete tasks accurately and follow through without repeated reminders.

Who Will Do Well in This Role
You may be a strong fit if you are dependable, observant, organized, and comfortable supporting both children and adults. We are looking for someone who notices problems, communicates early, follows through, and helps create a calm, safe, professional school environment.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys both classroom interaction and administrative work, and who wants to grow into a stronger school operations and teacher-support role over time.
